We are now at the beginning of the last level of the day (level 24), and Cedric Meyer just solidified his position, doubling up at the expense of Ruben Perceval, taking in what looked like a million chips in the hand.

The flop was dealt 3 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds, at which point Cedric raised to 180,000. Ruben called, and the turn was a 6 of Diamonds. Cedric shoved for the rest of his chips (429,000), and Ruben called, as he was holding two diamonds in his hand, completing the flush.

Unfortunately for Ruben, Cedric was also holding two diamonds: the Ace of Diamonds and 4 of Diamonds.

With his the nut flush Cedric gave himself some much-needed breathing room while Ruben’s night just changed in a bad way, and quickly.
