As we keep moving up in levels and the blinds keep increasing, more and more players keep leaving us. Alas, that is the nature of tournament poker, especially in a Turbo format.
However, in the latest hand over on table 20 no one was eliminated (for once!). This one started with a few limps moving around the table, but eventually Garry T. raised to 3,600. A few folds later, he found a dance partner in the neighbor to his right, Mike Patenaude.
Flop:
Mike checked to Garry, who raised to 5,000. Mike raised it to 15,000 without batting an eyelash, but the check raise didn’t seem to bother Garry at all.
Somehow, even with that start to the hand, both players checked the turn and the river, which were a and a
, respectively. Both players flipped over their cards, and Mike defeated Garry with his A-8 versus A-7.
