The players in Day 1c are now on break and there are just 24 of them remaining – playing down to 10 tonight who will qualify for Day 2. The current chip leader is Christian Barbeau with 145K, but he is closely followed by Joel Moreau (119K), Richard Sysko (108K), and Ruben Perceval (100K).

Day 1b of the $100,000 6th Anniversary Extravaganza has come to a close and the remaining 14 players are bagging up their chips to return to play in Day 2. The Saturday evening flight is traditionally the largest in the tournament, and true to form, there are already 80 players registered with more appearing every few minutes. Registration will remain open until 8:30pm, so there’s still plenty of time to get in on the action and take a run at qualifying for Day 2 in this $100,000 GTD tournament.
Speaking of $100,000 Guarantees – the weather today seems to have kept a lot of people off the roads, so it looks like there’s very strong potential for a prize pool overlay in the event. As all poker players know, however, this means nothing but MORE VALUE for the players who do participate!

Although the average stack in Day 1b is just under 80K, Alex Barrette has amassed a huge 271,000 in tournament chips so far, and that total seems to be growing.
This flight is playing down to 14 players remaining, and there are currently just 26 players left in the action.
