Day 1i is nearing level 3, and a little over 100 players are now at their seats for this 9th starting flight of the Extravaganza. If we tally all the totals up, we arrive at 767 entries plus another 100 from Day 1i – roughly 250 players shy of the guarantee. Given that the 10pm turbo generally attracts fewer players than the 4pm and 7pm flights, we could be looking at a considerable overlay in this $100,000 guaranteed. Just a little something to consider if you were thinking about taking a shot at this multi-day event celebrating Playground Poker Club’s 6th Anniversary.

In a few minutes Day 1i will be underway. This is the 9th and penultimate starting flight to the $100,000 guaranteed Extravaganza, and judging by the total number of entries so far, we are almost certainly looking at the possibility of some overlay.

This flight and the 10pm turbo flight will be the last two chances players have to qualify a stack onto Day 2, so don’t miss you chance at taking home a piece of this massive prize pool! Late registration will remain open through until the end of the first break, at 8:30pm.

So far the board only shows a dozen entries, but we can expect this number to increase significantly.

See you on the felts!

Another break has come and gone in Day 1g of the Playground Poker 6th Anniversary Extravaganza, and 44 players remain of the 143 to start the flight.

Mathieu Lavigne and Bruce Kraemer share the lead as they both sit on 123,000 in chips, while Gary Saldiva-Odar holds a healthy 104,000 stack, good for 3rd in chips.

Play continues until only 15 remain, who will then bag their chips onto tomorrow’s Day 2.

Registration in Day 1h has closed its doors, and 136 players turned up for this 8th starting flight of the Extravaganza. This brings the total number of entries up to 767 so far, with still another 2 flights to go. It’s looking more and more like there will be overlay in the tournament, and anyone wishing to participate and take advantage of this great value could do so by registering in either of the two final flights, at 7pm and 10pm tonight. As per usual, registration will remain open through until the end of the first break.

Leading the field in Day 1h after 4 levels of play is Manolis Garoufalis, who has increased his 15,000 starting stack up to 65,000. Bruno Visotzky-Bernier has also had a solid start to his tournament as he now sits on 56,000 going into level 5.
