Charles-Eric Benoit came into this final table as the short stack, but it didn’t take long for him to run up his stack and climb the leaderboard. He maintained a healthy stack until play fell 4-handed, at which point the increasing blinds started taking a toll. He lost a flip with a pocket pair of 6s versus the KT of Mathieu Fonderflick, where he saw a considerable portion of his stack get shipped across the table.
With little room left to manoeuvre, he finally moved in with A4, but fell to the pocket pair of tens of chipleader Robert Aho, ending his run in 4th place.
4th place: Charles-Eric Benoit – $2,640.00
