There were 12 players in Day 1a who qualified for Day 2 – 10% of the 116 players who started the flight. Here is a list of these players with their final chip counts.

The following are player-provided counts and although we do our utmost to verify that players are reporting their precise count, it’s the physical chips sealed in their bags which are returned to play on Day 2.

With the elimination of Marc Touloute in 13th place, the 10% target of 1 players has been reached in Day 1a and all of those who remain have qualified to return on Day 2 (Monday Dec 21).

Sebastien St-Onge did the dirty work in the hand. He opened to 13K and Marc raised all in – for just 18K. With only 5K to add to the pot, Sebastien made the call.

The flop kept Marc’s Ace-high in the lead: but the on 4th street turned the tables, and the on the river couldn’t put Marc back in the lead – Sebastien stacked the chips.

Play in Day 1a will be suspended with 12 players remaining – 10% of the 116 players who began this flight at 10am. Currently the tournament is currently hovering at 14 players remaining, meaning that just 2 more players must be eliminated before the action wraps up for the day!

The first flight of the Playground Anniversary Series 5-Year Extravaganza is well underway, and Day 1A attracted a total of 116 entries. With 10 starting flights scheduled throughout today and tomorrow, we can expect this tournament to be home to a huge field!

There are 4 more starting flights scheduled today, with Day 1B set at 1pm, Day 1C at 4pm, Day 1D at 7pm and Day 1E at 10pm, as well as 5 more tomorrow at the same starting times.
