Day 1f had a total of 100 entries and played down on Day 1 to the following 1o players remaining.

The following are player-provided counts and although we do our utmost to verify that players are reporting their precise count, it’s the physical chips sealed in their bags which are returned to play on Day 2.

With the recent elimination of Guillaume M., Day 1f has just come to a close, and 10 players have made their seats for Day 2 of this 5-Year Extravaganza. With just 5 big blinds to his name, and facing a button raise from Rejean Labbe, Guillaume looked down at a face card and decided it was time to get his chips in. His was behind the of Rejean, and with no help on the board, he was sent home one spot away from making Day 2.

With that pot, Rejean finished the flight with the biggest stack, and will be returning to Day 2 with 289,500 to his name.

The first flight to have started today, Day 1f, has made its way through to level 16 and there are just 16 players remaining on two tables. Play will stop when 10 players remain, so the tourney is getting very close to the Day 2 and money bubble (which are the same).

Randy Khalil was the chip leader as this level began, playing a 160K stack, and former chip leader Guillaume M is breathing down his neck with 155K. Nassim Kabbara is close to the leaders as well, with 148K in his stack.

This flight should wrap up in the next 2-3 levels, and it’s likely that there is still some significant chip movement to come.

If the patterns from yesterday hold, then the 10% threshold should be reached in level 18 (plus or minus one level) – which means there is still a lot of poker to be played in the next 5 or so levels!

Guillaume M is the current chip leader in this flight, currently playing a 110K stack. There are 3 or 4 players just a step behind him in the 75K to 80K range as well

The players remaining in Day 1f (the flight that began this morning at 10am) have just taken their second break of the day. We surveyed the remaining stacks while players were on break and found that just two players seem to have built up a large chip lead at this point – Kenneth Ransom with 62K and Stephane Sevigny with just a hair under 70K in chips.

Play has resumed in level 9 – and there’s lots of time left for any player in the field to build up her or his own huge stack!
