And… Day 1d has also begun!
Tonight’s 7pm flight – also known as Day 1d in the 5-Year Extravaganza – is well underway as play moves towards the end of level 2 with 151 entries so far. Late registration will continue until 8:30 – and then there’s a fifth Turbo flight to follow at 10pm.
A leaderboard for Day 1b
The players in Day 1b have just returned from a break and we took the opportunity to build a current leaderboard in this, the 2nd of 10 starting flights in the 5-Year Extravaganza event at Playground Poker Club. With just 34 players remaining, that means there are only 10 more eliminations required before the players who have qualified for Day 2 bag their chips for storage.

Break in Day 1c
The players in Day 1c are on a break, following which play will resume in level 9. There are no huge chip leaders in the tournament to this point, but we did find 5 or 6 players who have built up stacks of just about 80K.
Over in Day 1b…
Day 1a has ended and Day 1c is just getting warmed up, and meanwhile Day 1b – so far, the largest of today’s starting flights – continues moving right along. There are just 50 players left of the 240 that started the event, and while the earlier chip leader is nowhere to be found, Theo Psihogios has put a stranglehold on the flight, playing a stack with more than 230K in chips.
156 for Day 1c
Late registration is over in Day 1c, today’s 3rd of 5 starting flights in the 5-Year Extravaganza event, and the 4pm starting flight attracted a total of 156 players, which adds up to 512 total entries in the event so far.

Day 1a is in the books
With the elimination of Marc Touloute in 13th place, the 10% target of 1 players has been reached in Day 1a and all of those who remain have qualified to return on Day 2 (Monday Dec 21).
Sebastien St-Onge did the dirty work in the hand. He opened to 13K and Marc raised all in – for just 18K. With only 5K to add to the pot, Sebastien made the call.

The flop kept Marc’s Ace-high in the lead:
but the
on 4th street turned the tables, and the
on the river couldn’t put Marc back in the lead – Sebastien stacked the chips.
We’ll publish full results of Day 1a as soon as they are made available.
Just 2 more to go!
Play in Day 1a will be suspended with 12 players remaining – 10% of the 116 players who began this flight at 10am. Currently the tournament is currently hovering at 14 players remaining, meaning that just 2 more players must be eliminated before the action wraps up for the day!
Day 1c has begun
As Days 1a and 1b continue, the third starting flight today has begun, and with late registration still open, there are 135 entries so far. Players can register for this flight until the end of the break following level 4 – which will be at about 5:30pm.
