There are currently just 113 players left in the CPP MILLIONS Main Event, which means that the money bubble has (effectively) arrived. Play continued at a reasonably brisk pace for most of the day so far, though things have slowed down as the money bubble has edged closer and closer.

We did a tour of the room a few minutes ago and found some of the players we’re watching are in a healthy situation – Pascal Lefrancois was playing approximately 10M chips, while Marc André Ladouceur was just a pip behind at around 9.9M. Ruben Perceval was playing 7.3M at the time, while Carl Martel was struggling a little with less than 5M in his stack.

François Billard was the Quebecois player with the healthiest stack of them all – he was up around 18M+ when we last looked at his stack.

Play in the Caribbean Poker Party MILLIONS Main Event has almost passed its first level of the day – level 16 – and there have already been 32 eliminations. It’s normal to see that pace of eliminations on a new tournament day, but in this case the pressure of the money bubble will, before too long, add a brake to the pace today.

The Main Event in the Caribbean Poker Party MILLIONS series continues today at 12:00pm with 222 players returning to the felts – and exactly half of those players will make the money, while half will fall short.

16% of the remaining field (35/222) are Canadian players, and most of those players are people we know well at Playground Poker Club including 4 of the 5 Canadians over the 10M mark. This is the largest of all of the national contingents still in the event!
