After some negotiations, the final 4 players of Event 7 decided to make a deal. The tournament requires $3,000 to be left for the eventual winner, who also takes home a Playground Poker Fall Classic, and they split the rest of the prize pool based on a chip-chop.

Here is what each player has locked in, with an additional $3,000 reserved for the tournament champion:

    • Andrej Markoviniovic: $17,205
    • Anthony Robert Diotte: $14,515
    • Ivan Fazal Karim: $14,110
    • Daniel Andelman: $12,420

    Play continues….

Moments after losing half of his stack to Daniel Andelman the hand before, Frederick Mowatt announced an all-in from under the gun for 295,000. Ivan Fazal Karim meticulously cut out calling chips and slowly slid them forward next to act, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Frederick: Queen of Diamonds 10 of Clubs

Ivan: Ace of Hearts Ace of Clubs

Frederick almost made a flush to win the hand, but inevitably fell short to place in 5th, as the board read 4 of Hearts 8 of Diamonds Ace of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds 5 of Spades.

Here are the chip counts of the final 4 players:

After playing a few hands and folding before showdown, Richard Figiel only left himself with around 3 big blinds. He waited patiently before finally betting all-in, and found himself flipping against table leader Andrej.

Andrej: Queen of Hearts Jack of Spades

Richard: 4 of Spades 4 of Diamonds

Andrej hit the window card, as the board showed Jack of Spades 9 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds 7 of Spades 2 of Hearts, and we are now down to 5 players.

Anthony Robert Diotte has just taken over the chip lead of this final table, doubling through former chip leader Andrej Markovinovic.

Anothony raised to 75,000 from the button, and then called the 3bet all-in from Andrej in the big blind.

Anthony: 10 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds
Andrej: 7 of Spades 8 of Spades

Andrej needed a lot of help if he wanted to win this one, and the 2 of Diamonds King of Diamonds Ace of Hearts Jack of Clubs Jack of Hearts board was not the one he was looking for. Anthony slid forward his stack, and Andrej payed out 550,000, bringing his stack down to around 1.1 million.

Lawrence Rabie played a very patient game on this final table. He arrived as the short stack, and waited for the opportune moment to move his last few big blinds into the middle. It seems it never came, and he was forced to try a different route. In an unopened pot, he moved in for 7 big blinds, and found a call from Ivan Fazal Karim in the blinds.

Lawrence: Queen of Diamonds 10 of Clubs
Ivan: Ace of Clubs Jack of Clubs

Board: 4 of Clubs 4 of Spades King of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds Ace of Hearts

Erik Lemarquand came to this final table as the chip leader, but two quick losses to table-opponent Andrej Markovinovic left him as one of the short stacks. He stayed patient for a few orbits before finally taking advantage of an unopened pot to move his 10 big blind stack in. He was called by Frederick Mowatt.

Erik: Ace of Spades 9 of Clubs

Frederick: 10 of Diamonds 10 of Clubs

Erik picked up a flush draw on the flop, but running brick-brick sent him home, as the board showed 3 of Spades King of Spades Queen of Spades 6 of Diamonds 8 of Hearts.

    8th place: Erik Lemarquand – $3,270

Sergio: Ace of Clubs King of Diamonds
Andrej: Queen of Spades Queen of Diamonds

Board: Jack of Clubs 4 of Clubs 2 of Hearts 7 of Clubs 8 of Spades

Andrej’s pair of queens held on for the win, as he extended his chip lead on this final table, climbing over 1.6 million in chips.
