Pierre Routhier had been nursing a small stack for some time but doing it with skill and good timing, picking up enough blinds and antes to stay above water for at least the last few levels. However, his good timing had to end, and so it did at the hands of Tony To, who eliminated Pierre in 14th place.
Tony open-limped, fully aware that both the bb and sb were very short-stacked, and found a call from Pierre in the sb and a check from George Kazarian in the bb.

Pierre pulled a stop-and-go and pushed his last 60K or so into the middle. George folded, but Tony wasn’t going anywhere: he instantly called.
