We’ve just reached level 8 in this second flight of The Wild $150, and the field has been nearly cut in half since the start of the night. 6 levels remain before the end of the night, and those who were unfortunately eliminated from tonights flight will still have two more shots at qualifying for Day 2, as this event follows a “re-entry” format, allowing players to play multiple flights.

This is not a complete list of all the players in the field, however if ever you would like to know the status of a specific player that is not shown in the list, you can ask us via Twitter by addressing your request to @PlaygroundPoker, and we will do our best to bring you an update.

The Playground Poker Fall Classic, presented by Partypoker.net, kicked off in full force this morning, as 368 players showed up for Day 1a of The Wild $150 – which has become the traditional opening tournament for events here at Playground Poker Club.

Three more starting flights remain for this opening event, which boasts an impressive $100,000 guarantee for a $135 + $15 buy-in. Day 1B is currently underway, with late registration open until the end of the first break (roughly 9:10pm), while Day 1C will play out on Monday night at 7pm, and Day 1D on Tuesday night at 7pm.

So far just over 100 players have bought into this second flight, however with late registration open for another 2 full hours, we can expect this number to climb significantly.

Day 1a of Event 1 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic presented by Partypoker.net began at 11am on Sunday, November 1st. There were a total of 368 entries in this first of four starting flights in the event. When all 13 levels had been played, just 89 players remained. These players have all qualified for Day 2, which will begin at 7pm on Wednesday November 4th.

Any player who entered today’s starting flight in the tournament may re-enter in a subsequent starting flight – this is a “next day re-entry” event, meaning that players enter each of the 4 starting flights once.

Play in the first starting flight of The Wild $150 is about half-way through level 12, which means there is about a level and a half left to play before the remaining players bag up their chips to return on Day 2.

If you’ve been following along on the Chip Counts page, you’ll have noticed that there are two new players that have grown huge Day 1 stacks. Both René Philippe Noel and Alexandre Tremblay have caught up to Derek Hart among the leaders. Jean-Claude Salame remains near the top of the standings as well.

Action is getting deep in Day 1a of The Wild $150 and after returning from their second break of the day, players have 5 full levels to play before those who are still alive at the time will count and bag their chips for Day 2.
