Late registration is now over and the first flight of The Wild $150 attracted a total of 368 runners! Just over 300 of these are still in the action, which will play through 13 total levels today.
The chip leader after the first break of the day was Stephano Visintin, who had a huge lead over the field, playing a stack of over 71,000 chips. We’ll be tracking him through the day to see how he manages as they get deeper into the flight.
There’s a new feature on this Live Event blog for the Fall Classic: we’re going to do more frequent chip counting for selected players in the tournament. We don’t have the resources to keep every player’s stack updated throughout the day – that would be a monumental undertaking – but early in events we’ll develop an initial list of players to follow and then periodically add to that list throughout the day.

As predicted, it is proving to be a huge Day 1a in The Wild $150, Event 1 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic! The first level hasn’t even concluded – late reg is open for 4 levels – and there are already 286 players seated with a steady stream buying their place in the event at the cashier every minute.
November is getting started on a high note as a huge group of players have jumped in the action in The Wild $150! With 4 full 30-minute levels of late registration left (plus the break) this morning, there are already 190 players registered and seated in this first event of the Playground Poker Fall Classic presented by Partypoker.net.
Judging by past registration patterns, the total field for this Day 1a flight should approach – or even surpass – the 300 player mark! Then tonight it all happens again – Day 1b starts at 7pm! We’ll have football on the big screens around the room all day, and breakfast is served until 2pm – Sunday is a good day for a poker tournament!
