After 26 levels of play combined over 2 days, the starting field of 1,475 entries has been reduced to just 33 players.

We saw the balance in chip leads switch drastically in the last level of the night, as the two top stacks at the start of the level, Santos Ciulla and Alec Brandstatter, both lost huge pots and dropped down the leaderboard. It was finally Bryce Potter who bagged the chip lead, and he will return with 2,560,000 chips tomorrow. Second in chips is Frank Truong, who doubled up in the very last hand of the night to end Day 2 with 2,250,000.

As soon as the tournament staff is done crunching the numbers, we will be publishing the full list of player-reported chip counts, as well as the new seating assignments for tomorrow’s Day 3, which is scheduled to start at 7pm. Below is a table with the top stacks as Day 2 closed.

Nick-Real Seide is well-known as a talented player and someone who can accumulate chips in a hurry, but his build up to start Day 2 of The $250 Frenzy is pretty extreme – in less than one level of play – and without just stacking a single player and taking those chips – he has managed to change around 245K into 545K in tournament chips, and is now the massive chip leader in the tournament.

This is the official seating chart for Day 2 of The $250 Frenzy, Event 3 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic presented by Partypoker.net.

There were 6 starting flights in this tournament and a total of 1,475 entries. 313 entries qualified for Day 2, but there were 6 players who qualified in two different starting flights. Each of these players has had their smaller stack removed from play. Therefore, there are 307 unique players who will be seated to begin Day 2.

Play resumes in level 15 at 7pm on Monday November 9th. When the tournament resumes, play will be 9-handed, and play on Day 2 will continue for 12 levels.

Note that these are player-recorded chip count totals. The actual chips have been sealed in bags which will be opened by the players to be returned to play on Day 2.
