Facing a raise of 500,000 from Michael Korovine, Andonios Papageorgiou 3bet his 3,525,000 stack from the button, finding a call from the original raiser.

Michael: Ace of Clubs Jack of Diamonds
Andonios: 9 of Spades 9 of Hearts

Board: 10 of Spades 7 of Hearts 4 of Diamonds 6 of Spades 10 of Diamonds

Michael was left with a little over 3.5 million after the hand, while Andonios climbed up over 7 million.

    5th place: Roger Thibault

After a quiet few orbits, we finally saw a hand reach showdown.

Roger Thibault opened to 600,000 from under the gun, and before Rami Hammoud had a chance to slide forward his 3bet form the big blind, Roger instantly announced his all-in. Rami quickly made the call.

Rami: Ace of Hearts King of Hearts
Roger: Ace of Clubs Jack of Diamonds

Roger was in a world of trouble, as Rami flopped a flush draw, but in the end all he needed was the king-kicker to score the knock out, as the board read 3 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts 7 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds.

Rami now holds nearly half the chips in play.

    5th place: Roger Thibault – $16,535

Chip counts at break – 5 remain

The $250 Frenzy is down to 5 players after a furry of eliminations early on. Action has slowed down a little since we entered 5-handed poker, as players are quite deep at this point. The average stack is hovering around 30 big blinds at the start of this level, and all 5 players have shown they have what it takes to win this, so it’s still anyones game.

Here is a look at the chip distribution, as we enter level 33.

    6th place: Santos Ciulla

Action folded around to Michael Korovine on the button, who opened to 350,000. Santos Ciulla, sitting in the big blind, 3bet all-in, and found a call from Michael.

Michael: Ace of Clubs Queen of Hearts
Santos: 6 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds

Santos only had Michael covered by 85,000 in the hand, so they were both virtually flipping for their tournament life. It was Michael who ended up on top however, as he paired on the Queen of Spades 2 of Spades 2 of Hearts Jack of Hearts 4 of Spades board to win the 7.3 million chip pot.

Santos was eliminated on the very next hand.

    6th place: Santos Ciulla – $12,450

    7th place: Shane St John

Shane St John was our next casualty on this final table, as he moved in with Ace of Hearts 3 of Spades, only to get called by Andonios Papageorgiou with 8 of Spades 8 of Clubs.

The community cards brought no help to Shane, and the Queen of Spades 2 of Hearts 7 of Hearts Queen of Clubs King of Spades board was the last Shane would see in this tournament.

    7th place: Shane St John – $9,140

Action folded around to Michael Korovine in the small blinds, and he pulled the trigger, moving all-in for 1,560,000. Santos Ciulla made the quick call from the big blind, and the two players were off to the races.

Michael: King of Clubs Queen of Clubs
Santos: 8 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs

With the board showing Jack of Clubs Queen of Hearts Queen of Spades 9 of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds, Michael secured the double up, while Santos dropped to below 3 million.

    8th place: Bryce Potter

Bryce Potter, who came into Day 3 as the chip leader, has just been eliminated off of this final table in 8th place.

On a board showing 9 of Diamonds King of Clubs 10 of Clubs, he found himself all-in and far behind table opponent Tomas Larivee Magni, who flopped a set of tens with 10 of Diamonds 10 of Hearts. Bryce still had outs, holding the King of Spades Jack of Spades, but couldn’t find a queen with the running 5 of Hearts and 8 of Spades to end his Event 3 run in 8th place.

    8th place: Bryce Potter – $6,209

Roger Thibault has been very quiet on this final table, trying to find the perfect spot to double up his short stack. It seems his patience is paying off for now, as laddered up a pay jump, and then doubled up his stack!

He called off his all-in from the big blind, facing a shove from Shane St John in the small blind, and the two were off to battle it in the streets.

Roger: King of Spades Jack of Spades
Shane: Ace of Spades 10 of Clubs

Roger paired the flop, and held on for the double up on a board of Jack of Diamonds 6 of Spades 5 of Clubs 3 of Hearts 8 of Hearts. He now has nearly 3 million to his name, while Shane dropped to 2,200,000.

  • Big Blind: 120K

  • Chip Average: 3.7M

  • 2015/11/10 - 22:39 by Playground Poker

Santos Ciulla has definitely been the most active player so far on this final table of The $250 Frenzy, and we just saw him get involved in another big all-in pot.

We caught up to the action on a board showing 5 of Diamonds King of Spades 9 of Hearts between him and Tomas Larivee Magni, where most of the chips went in. Once there was no more action, the players turned over their cards:

Tomas: Ace of Spades King of Clubs
Santos: King of Hearts Queen of Spades

The running cards 7 of Hearts and 6 of Diamonds changed nothing, and Santos was forced to pay out another 2 million to his opponent, while Tomas doubled up to above average stack.

    9th place: Andrew Boujaoude

  • Small Blind: 60K
  • Big Blind: 120K
  • Ante: 20K
  • Chip Average: 3.7M
  • Remaining: 8
  • Entries: 1475

  • 2015/11/10 - 22:33 by Playground Poker

    9th place: Andrew Boujaoude

Santos Ciulla took a big hit to his stack moments ago before regaining some momentum and scoring an elimination.

In the first hand, Santos open-shoved his massive stack from early position, and found a snap call from Andonios Papageorgiou next to act. Santos and his 8 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds finished second best to Andonios and his King of Hearts King of Clubs, forcing him to slide over 3,400,000 chips to his neighbour.

On the very next hand, Santos opened to 500,000, and called off the all-in from Andrew Boujaoude in late position.

Santos: 5 of Clubs 5 of Diamonds
Andrew: Ace of Spades King of Hearts

This time Santos came out the winner, as the board ran 2 of Hearts 3 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs 7 of Diamonds 8 of Spades, and he picked up almost 2 million more chips.

    9th place: Andrew Boujaoude – $4,820
