The $250 Frenzy is up to 781 total entries after 4 flights, as tonight’s Day 1D attracted 231 players. Two more flights remain, with Day 1E at 11am tomorrow, and Day 1F at 7:30pm. All the players who finished a flight with chips will return on Monday night at 7:00pm for Day 2.

Event 3 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic, presented by Partypoker.net, is a $250 re-entry tournament with 6 starting flights which boasts a guarantee of $200,000.

Three of the six flights have already taken place, culminating to 550 total entries so far, meaning we are likely to see over 1,000 entries total for this increasingly popular side event.

The tournament director has recently announced the start of the tournament, and with that action is well underway. 156 players have already taken their seats, and late registration will remain open for another 2 hours (until 9:45pm).

There are 50 players still alive in Day 1c of The $250 Frenzy, and one 30-minute level to go before players bag up their chips to return for Day 2.

Starting flights of tournaments at any buy-in level are usually fairly similar in the sense that after a significant passage of play, stack sizes tend to be relatively smoothly distributed. Between level 10 and the beginning of level 14, however, we saw two players with clearly dominant stacks (Vital Cleary and Alexander Villa) and many of the other leaders from earlier in the day slipped back to the pack. At this point, there is a clear 100K drop-off from Alexander in 2nd place and the 3rd place stack, held by Jason Conforti. It remains to be seen if the chip distribution smoothes out during this last level.
