Event 4 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic was a $100 + $10 NL Hold’em Deepstack Turbo that was held on November 9th. There were a total of 169 players in the event which generated a prize pool of $16,393.00. This was be distributed according to the table below.

Note that there was a player deal reached with 5 players remaining. The players chose to reserve $323 and the Champion’s Trophy for the winner and then to pay the 5th place player (by chip count) $1,620.00. The remaining 4 players chopped the rest of the prize pool evenly, netting $2,485.00 each. These payouts are reflected in the table below.

Aboudib closes it in Event 4!

After a challenging start to a tournament that saw 69 alternates seated, Rabih Aboudib managed to navigate his way to the mid-tournament among the chip leaders. Once he had wrested the lead from his tough table including former WPT Final Tableist Levi Stevens he never looked back, never relinquished his lead, and took it all the way to a sweet $2,808 payday in this $100 + $10 NL Hold’em Deepstack Turbo tournament. Rabih also won the Event 4 Champion’s trophy for his efforts today.

There were 5 players left in Event 4 when they decided to ask tournament staff about a possible deal. They were informed that $323 and the Champion’s Trophy had to be reserved for the eventual winner and beyond that they could set the terms of the deal or ask for chip chop numbers.

The players quickly decided to offer the 5th place player, David Nadler, $400 over the lowest remaining prize and then evenly chop the remaining prize pool. In other words, the players reserved $323 and the trophy for the winner, the top 4 players by chip count each took $2,485.00, and the smallest stacked player took $1,620.

Everyone quickly agreed to the deal and play continued.

When it did, David Nadler was eliminated almost immediately, and play continues.

Event 4 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic attracted a total of 169 entries, and the field has now been reduced to the final table of ten players. Coming in as the chip leader is Rabih Aboudib, who holds nearly 1 million in chips, however given the turbo format, the average stack is below the 10 big blind mark, meaning things can change very fast.

After about 12 hands of hand-for-hand play – a long time considering relative stack sizes – the remaining players in Event 4 are finally in the money! Maxime Leclerc was the unlucky player on the bubble.

Now that the bubble has passed, the many short stacks have started to play much more openly and we should be at the final table (10 players) in no time at all.

There are just 18 players remaining in Event 4 – they’re on the bubble! They moved to two tables when the tournament got down to 20 players, but with so many short-stacked players it took no time to go from 20 to 18 – and now they’re hand for hand.

Event 4 has already reached level 14 and tournament staff have already taken the opportunity to remove the black T100 chips from play, barely 4 hours into the action! Of the 169 players who started the event, just 52 remain, and among them are some players who have built up some truly awe-inspiring stacks!

Number one is Levi Stevens, who resumed play after the break with an impressive 234K in chips. Levi is an experienced tournament player who made the final table of the most recent WPT Canadian Spring Championship earlier this year, so we’re going to track him closely to see if he can close out this turbo event.

The players in Event 4 have returned from their second break and the tourney has settled down about as much as a Turbo can settle – which is to say, not much. The big blind is already 2K, after all, less than 3 hours into the action!

A total of 169 players took a seat once all of the alternates were seated, which is 69 players more than the scheduled capacity. We had to pull in trained dealers from all parts of the organization to make it happen, but it’s an important value at Playground Poker Club that people who want to play a tournament will almost always get a seat.

The huge number of participants means a nice big prize pool – the details of which will be published in just a few minutes.
