The WPT Montreal is always one of the most star-studded events of the year, and this year’s edition is no exception. Here are a few of the well-known players who have joined the tournament since it began.

As well there are a few other new players of more local fame including Sylvain Siebert and Lu “Chanel” Zhang, among others.

Mike Sexton got the day kicked off with a bang and action has begun in Day 1b of the 2015 Partypoker.net WPT Montreal!

There are already 135 players seated in the event and late registration is open until approximately 6:15 tonight, so there’s still a ton of time for players to jump into the tournament. There are a few pros here today who didn’t manage to qualify in Day 1a, yesterday, as well as many new players that haven’t played in the event before today.

Beyond the well-known pros in the field, there are a couple of players that we’d also like to make note of in the field, including Dr. Robert Notkin, champion of the Canada Cup in 2014 and the winner of perhaps the most famous single hand in Playground Poker Club history – a four-way all-in on the final table. In addition, the WPT Canadian Spring Championship winner Sheraz Nasir has taken a seat in the event.
