After a 6-way deal on the final table, where the prize pool was distributed based on chip counts at the time, the dynamics of Event 2 changed drastically. With only an additional $650 left up top for the eventual winner, and of course the Playground Poker Fall Classic Champion’s Trophy, players all of a sudden had a lot more gamble in them.
We saw two quick eliminations happen in the minutes following the deal, leaving action 4-handed. Eleuterio Guedes was the next to go, followed by former chip leader Yan Nadeau, who pocketed the most for this event.
Steven Saab was left heads-up and with the chip lead versus Hugo Theotol, and after only a few hands they found themselves flipping for stacks. Steven’s were racing the of Hugo, but it was all but over by the turn on a board showing .
Steven collected $3,600 from the deal, plus an additional $650 for the win, and also took home the Playground Poker Fall Classic Champion’s Trophy for Event 2, while Hugo took home $5,000 with his share of the deal.
Congratulations!
Event 2 Champion: Steven Saab – $4,250
