Players are on break in Event 4 and most of the alternates in the tournament have been seated. Exceptionally, an alternate who wishes to play will be seated at the first available opportunity – but alternates who have not been seated yet may return to the cashier for a refund. In essence, anyone who wants to play will play today!
Alternates are being seated
Today’s event was at or even over capacity before it began, but one hour in and alternates are taking their seats regularly as players bust and as new tables are opened. So far 138 players have been seated and tournament staff is doing everything they can to get everyone to the tables.

Welcome to Event 4!
Today’s tournament is a $100 + $10 NL Hold’em Deepstack Turbo – Event 4 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic. In this context, “Deepstack” means that players start with 25,000 in tournament chips, but conversely “Turbo” means that blinds go up every 15 minutes! The Deepstack Turbo format is very familiar to regular Playground tournament players and over the years it has proven to be immensely popular.
The popularity of the event is evident today – even before the action started the tournament had exceeded the published capacity and staff was managing the seating of alternates! Today’s capacity was 100 players, but there are already 100 seated – with many more waiting for a seat.
At Playground Poker Club we have a very good track record at seating alternates, so although late-comers may have to wait a few minutes to play, we’ll do everything we can to seat as many players as possible, as quickly as possible.
Good luck!
