Blinds are now 10K-20K, and Thomas Caissie limped in from an early position. Garry Antonio probably thought this was just asking to be taken advantage of, and placed a 62K raise. After everyone folded, Thomas made the call. When the flop came , Thomas Caissie decided to lead with a bet of 50K, which was quickly called by Garry. The turn did not make Thomas back down, and he fired 100K into the pot, which was called almost as quickly by Garry. The river was a low non-heart card, and this time Thomas checked. Garry thought he could steal this pot, possibly because no third heart came up, and bet 150K. Thomas tanked for a little while, then called the bet and immediately showed . Garry impassively mucked his hand, and looked at the sizable pot being pushed over to Thomas Caissie.
Although the action was not particularly heavy in this hand relatively to the blinds, the resulting pot was very relevant, mounting up to more than the average stack. This is why deep tournament action is not for the faint of heart – one misstep can destroy the result of many hours of work.
