Randy Guy Vermette has had an excellent last 2 levels, and managed to turn his just over 100K stack into nearly 5 times that since the last break.
In a recent hand, he was in the small blind with when Charles La Boissonniere shipped his 140K stack from the button in an unopened pot. Randy made the call while the big blind folded his cards, and Charles tabled .
Randy improved to a full house and had his opponent drawing dead by the turn as the board ran out , and with that pot he climbed up to around 480K – good for the tournament chip lead.
Second in chips belongs to Senthuran Vijayaratnam, who has been steadily chipping up throughout the last few levels and now holds around 300K.
