Jean Francois Jodoin placed a small raise to 200K from the button after action folded around to him. Mike Mirand folded his small blind, and Yang Guo 3bet all-in for around 1.5 million, which Jean Francois called.

Jean Francois: King of Spades Queen of Hearts
Yang: King of Clubs 6 of Clubs

Board: Ace of Spades 8 of Diamonds 3 of Spades 3 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds

Yang failed to improve, and was send to the cashiers to collect his 7th place prize.

Maxime Heroux and Sebastien Proulx just entered into a confrontation on the tables, creating a pot north of 2.5M. Maxime turned over King of Spades King of Hearts and dodged the 5 community cards to score a win over the 7 of Spades 7 of Hearts of his opponent. He has regained the chip lead with that pot, and now sits on over 6-million.

8th place: Sebastien Proulx – $3,000.00

Once action folded around to Fadi Haddad in the cutoff, he opened the pot to 250K. Pascal Monarque 3bet all-in next to act, and the blinds quickly got out of the way. Fadi asked for a count, and the dealer cut out Pascal’s stack, which was of 895K total. Fadi then began his interrogation process, probably in an attempt to get a read on his opponent. After a few moments, he finally slid forward a stack of red T25,000 chips to announce the call.

Fadi: Ace of Spades 8 of Spades
Pascal: Queen of Hearts Queen of Clubs

Board: 5 of Hearts 10 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds 3 of Spades Ace of Diamonds

Pascal was poised for the double up, until the dealer dropped an Ace of Diamonds on the river to burry him in 9th place.

9th place: Pascal Monarque – $2,100.00

Yan Nadeau was sitting on a little under 2 million in chips when he open-shoved from utg on his 6-handed table. Action folded around to Rachid Bahaj in the big blind, who peeked over at Yan’s stack. He asked for a rough count before looking at his cards, which in turn lead to an unintentional slow-roll, as once he did finally check his hole cards, he found a nice pair of Ace of Spades Ace of Hearts hiding down there. Yan did not look very pleased with the situation as he rolled over 6 of Spades 6 of Diamonds, and with no help on the board he was eliminated in 11th place, bringing The Wild $150 down to the final table.

Rachid took over the chip lead with that pot, as he now sits on over 5-million chips.

11th place: Yan Nadeau – $1,750.00

John Palmer won an event in this exact format earlier this year, but although he made a deep run here in the Fall Classic, his quest for the repeat ended in 12th place.

Maxime Heroux opened the action with a button raise to 200K and Palmer instantly raised all-in, not hesitating although Heroux had him covered by a wide margin. There was no hesitation on Heroux’s part either, as he instantly pushed forward a stack of 25K chips to make the call.

Heroux: 8 of Hearts 8 of Clubs
Palmer: Ace of Clubs 4 of Diamonds

Heroux was relatively safe with his pair facing only one over card, and the community cards that were dealt 10 of Clubs 6 of Clubs King of Spades 7 of Spades 5 of Hearts gave him the hand.

12th place: John Palmer, $1,750.00

Rachid Bahaj opened to 180K from utg, and was put to a decision when Tanvir Ahmed 3bet shoved for 945K from the button. After some deliberation, he finally committed the extra chips, and the two were off to the races.

Rachid: Jack of Spades Jack of Hearts
Tanvir: King of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

Tanvir flopped a pair and showed some signs of relief, however that all changed when Rachid connected with the river to give him the win on a 2 of Clubs 9 of Clubs King of Clubs 4 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds board.

13th place: Tanvir Ahmed – $1,450.00

Yu Chen opened the action with an open shove from middle position holding 420, just 5bb. Action folded around to John Palmer in the sb who re-raised all-in to 670K. Fadi Haddad had a decision to make in the bb, but eventually he folded.

Yu Chen: Ace of Diamonds 8 of Hearts
John Palmer: 9 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts

The flop was pretty much ideal for John: 3 of Hearts Jack of Hearts 4 of Spades and the runout of 10 of Clubs 4 of Diamonds didn’t provide any help to Yu Chen and he was eliminated in 14th position.

14th place: Yu Chen, $1,450

Jason Mottershead made quite a splash during the early going tonight, but he has now been eliminated in 15th place.

Sebastien Proulx opened the action from the cutoff to 200K, and Jason shoved for 675K from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Sebastien made the call after just a few seconds of deliberation.

Sebastien: 7 of Hearts 8 of Hearts
Jason: 9 of Hearts 9 of Diamonds

The Queen of Hearts King of Diamonds 10 of Hearts flop kept Jason in the lead but gave Sebastien a lot of options to finish off his neighbour. The turn 7 of Diamonds didn’t do the trick (though it did give him a wider range of combos that would work), but the 4 of Hearts gave Sebastien the flush and sent Jason to the Tournament Desk to pick up his payout coupon for $1,450.

15th place: Jason Mottershead, $1,450
