Players are now on level 7, and already some stacks have been nicely built. The blinds are still relatively small, but players are eager to accumulate chips, so sparks are flying. There is one more level of play before the 2nd break, at which point we will bring you the first leaderboard of Day 1b.

Although registration slowed down a little bit towards the end of the first segment, the field of players for Day 1b got to the very nice number of 249. Thats 564 combined entries in the first 2 starting flights!
The Wild $150, the now established opening Event of our Playground festivals, has been very popular since its first march, and it seems like the 2016 edition of the Playground Poker Fall Classic will bring it the same spotlight.

The Wild $150 Day 1b is well underway, and as predicted, features a great gathering. With over 225 players at the tables and one hour left to late registration, it is sure to approach the 300 player mark. You have until 9:10pm to jump in the action and show what you can do! Day 1a of The Wild $150 in the 2016 Playground Poker Fall Classic began at 11am on October 30th and attracted 315 entries. After 14 levels of play, just 75 remained – these players have all qualified for Day 2, which is set to begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday November 2nd.

Day 1a Chip Leader Leng Khauv
On this first day of the Playground Poker Fall Classic, we are happy to say that players responded massively to the call of the Wild $150 Day 1a. 315 players got together and took a stab at the first of 4 starting flights for Event #1! 75 of those people are bagging their chips right now, as the staff is getting prepared for the second flight.
Tonight is expected to be very crowded also, as almost 100 players have already registered, with a few minutes left before the start of Day 1b. Players that survive their night of poker will meet the other 75 bags on Wednesday night at 7pm for Day 2.
As was the case this afternoon, players have 14 levels of poker on their plate, and will rub shoulders until around 3am. Don’t forget that if things go south, there is always Day 1c and Day 1b, respectively on Monday 7pm and Tuesday 7pm to make amends and merit a spot into Day 2.

Two players who have not yet appeared on the leaderboard have made huge moves since the last roundup of chip leaders in the tournament. Leng Khauv has built his stack to just about 300K in chips, while Allan Puzantian – who has made several deep runs in Playground events in the past, including a final table – is playing over 200K.
If they can maintain or even build on their stacks in the final 20 minutes of play, both players are likely to be among the chip leaders by the time Day 2 arrives on Wednesday.
Players in Day 1a have returned from their final break of the day and play has resumed in level 12. Play will wrap up at the end of level 14, meaning that there are just under 3 full levels left to play for the day.
Day 1b will get underway at 7:00pm tonight – remember that anyone, including players who entered today’s Day 1a but were eliminated, can play in tonight’s second of 4 starting flights.

Action continues to heat up in Day 1a of The Wild $150 as 135 players remain of the 315 who began this first of 4 starting flights in the tournament. Day 1b starts tonight at 7:00pm and if today’s turnout is any indication, this should again be a very well-attended flight in the tournament – which is starting to point to a truly monster prize pool – it already looks like the $100K GTD will be comfortably surpassed.

Day 1a of The Wild $150 – and it’s huge 315 player entry list – is a great start to the action in this year’s Playground Poker Fall Classic presented by partypoker.net. This year’s festival marks the fifth year in a row that we’ve hosted a major festival at around this time of year, and the 5th time we’ve hosted the WPT Montreal at around the same time (over the years the whole festival has shifted about 1 week earlier than it used to be).
