The T100 chips have just been raced off from Event 12, and the 40 remaining players are back at their seats to continue their pursuit of a Champion’s Trophy.

The 50/50 Bounty Event is down to 77 players as we come back from a short break. Sean Blanchard currently tops the field and is the only player above 200K in chips. Here are the top counts at the start of level 12:

Play in today’s $1,100 50/50 Bounty tournament has been progressing at a furious pace every since the beginning of level 2 (there were no eliminations in level 1), and as the players return from a break and begin play in level 9 there are just 109 left of the 205 that started the event.

Michael Tessier-Strasbourg continues to lead, having amassed a massive 207K stack and having already added 7 bounties (in addition to his own), worth $3,500! The closest player to Michael in chips at the last break was Scott Poirier, who is playing 163K but seems to have no additional bounties (though he may have pocketed them).

Behind these two players are Sayed Mohammad Tareg Hossein and Douglas James, who are each playing approximately 113K at the moment.

The players in the 50/50 Bounty are taking their first break of the day and while they were away from the tables we found 3 players who have already amassed very healthy stacks – and a some extra bounties to boot.

There are still 2 levels left to late register in the event, although only alternate seating remains (which may mean a short wait before you take your seat).

The field continues to grow in today’s 50/50 Bounty tournament and it has grown to the point that it’s worthwhile to mention that the published capacity for Event 12 is 150 players, following which time we’ll seat alternates. We’ve hardly ever turned away a player who wanted to play in a tournament in the past, but if you were planning on registering late, the earlier you get here, the better chance you’ll have to sit right away.
