Daune Fernandez opened from 325K from early position, and Tony Stratopoulos moved all-in for around 1 million next to act. Daune completed the bet and for the second time these two players confronted each other with a pair versus a pair. The first round was won by Tony, who spiked a set of 8s to win versus the pocket queens of Daune.

Daune: Jack of Spades Jack of Clubs
Tony: Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs

This time Tony had the bigger pair, however once again the smaller pair won as Daune flopped a set on the 3 of Clubs Jack of Diamonds King of Hearts 10 of Clubs 5 of Diamonds board.

8th place: Tony Stratopoulos – $5,600.00

Daune Fernandez opened to 350K from utg, and Robert Violo moved all-in next to act. Action folded back to Daune, who asked for a count. Robert’s total count was of 900K, and Daune paid the extra chips.

Daune: Queen of Hearts 9 of Hearts
Robert: Ace of Hearts King of Clubs

Board: Ace of Clubs 10 of Hearts 2 of Hearts 2 of Clubs 8 of Hearts

Although Robert paired the flop, Daune caught up with a flush on the river to scoop the pot. He now sits on around 5.3 million.

9th place: Robert Violo – $4,000.00

Pascal Fournier was in late position in an unopened pot when he slid forward his 725K stack, putting him all-in. Georges Hallak regrettably folded his cards after spending a few minutes in the tank, and once he folded Thomas Lefort quickly called next to act. The rest of the cards went into the muck, and hands were opened.

Pascal: Ace of Spades 3 of Hearts
Thomas: Queen of Spades Queen of Diamonds

Board: 8 of Hearts 5 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds 2 of Spades

Thomas took another victim as he continues to bulldoze over the field late in The $250 Frenzy, and the rest of the players enjoy a pay-jump.

The $250 Frenzy is now down to just one final table, and 10 players are still at war, trying to become our Event 3 champion. $3,100 is already locked in for the 10 finalists, however the top prize is a cool $50,000 prize, and there is therefore a lot at stake right now.

Thomas Lefort leads with a massive 7.5 million stack, which represents over 25% of the chips in play.

Sayed Hossieni opened from utg +1 to 360K, and Daune Fernandez 3bet all-in from the big blind. With around 1.7 million in front of him, Sayed threw in a calling chip and play went heads-up.

Sayed: Ace of Diamonds King of Spades
Daune: Ace of Clubs 9 of Clubs

Daune took the lead on the flop, and held for the win on a 9 of Spades 2 of Clubs Ace of Spades Queen of Clubs 10 of Spades board, sending Sayed home one shy of the final table.

Marco Caza was under the gun when he moved all-in for 1,170,000. Action folded around to Thomas Lefort in the small blind, who asked for a count and then isolated by re-shoving.

Marco: King of Spades Queen of Hearts
Thomas: 8 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs

Eric Ranger, who folded his big blind, said he let go of an 8. Marco paired the 2 of Spades 3 of Hearts King of Clubs flop and was in great shape to double up. The 7 of Diamonds turn brought no change, but the 8 of Hearts river was just the 1-outer Thomas was hoping to hit, as he scored another million+ chips to extend his lead.

David Kovacic returned from the break as the short stack, and on the second hand he was in the big blind position. With already 1/3 of his chips in the middle, he saw an open to 225K from Mike Fraser, a flat call from Eric Ranger, and a 3bet shove from Marco Caza in the small blind. Getting over 4 to 1 on his money, he moved all-in without looking at his cards, and saw Mike and Eric muck their hands.

Marco: Queen of Spades Queen of Hearts
David: 5 of Spades 6 of Diamonds

David found some magic on the King of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 6 of Hearts 5 of Hearts 6 of Clubs board, making a full house to keep him in the game.

Mathieu Leclerc was trying to make something out of nothing when he open shoved his short stack from late position with Queen of Hearts 9 of Hearts, but unfortunately for him Sayed Hossieni woke up with Ace of Clubs King of Hearts in the big blind and made the call. Sayed smashed the Ace of Hearts Ace of Diamonds 8 of Clubs 3 of Diamonds 4 of Hearts board to virtually double his stack up, as the two players were almost even to start the hand.

Thomas Lefort is making the most of his Day 3 so far, and has significantly increased his stack to take over the chip lead with 13 players left.

He recently knocked two more players out of the tournament, as he 3bet all-in from the small blind facing an open to 210K from Marc Guerbilsky in early position. Domenico Scalamogna came along for the ride with his last 325K, and Marc went into the tank before committing his 990K stack.

Thomas: Ace of Spades King of Diamonds
Domenico: 7 of Diamonds 9 of Spades
Marc: King of Clubs Queen of Spades

The board was clean for Thomas, reading 6 of Spades 3 of Diamonds 4 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds 8 of Spades, and he added another 1.3 million to his armory while taking out two opponents.

14th place: Marc Guerbilsky – $2,600.00
