Day 2 in The $250 Frenzy is set to begin in just 20 minutes. The chips in their bags have all been arranged at the appropriate tables and the dealers have taken their positions and staff are already directing players to their tables for the restart.

Action tonight will continue through 12 30-minute levels, and along the way the bubble will be reached when a player is eliminated in 136th place – following which the top 135 players in the tournament will cash. Although 285 players will start and it may seem like the bubble will take a long time to arrive – experience in this format suggests that the early eliminations will occur extremely rapidly. The bubble shouldn’t take more than 4-5 levels to arrive… and be passed.

At the end of the 12 levels, the remaining players in the tournament will bag their chips for a Day 3 return – and to continue play tomorrow for the huge prizes in the event.

After 6 starting flights over 3 days, The $250 Frenzy is now moving on to the next phase: Day 2. Of the 1,366 total entries that took place, 286 qualified for Day 2 including one player who qualified through two starting flights (Timothy Deering), whose smaller stack has been retired from play. This leaves 285 players who will resume play when the tournament re-starts on Day 2.

Of these, 135 players can expect a cash prize. With the final prize pool totalling $298,129.00, a cool $50,000 is reserved for the eventual winner, who will also take home a Playground Poker Fall Classic Champion’s Trophy and an entry in the Champion’s Freeroll during the upcoming Playground Winter Festival.

Day 2 begins on November 7th, at 7pm sharp, and will continue for 12 levels of play. Everyone who has qualified will need to bring a valid piece of ID with them to their place at the table for the restart.

The biggest stack to return to the felts tomorrow will be that of Kosta Papa, who won a massive 462,000 pot to end his Day 1f flight. He leads second in chips Ruben Perceval by nearly a 100,000 margin.

Once the tournament staff has crunched the prize pool information, we will publish the payout structure for this 3rd event in the Playground Poker Fall Classic.

As a reminder for those who qualified for Day 2, action will resume at 7pm tomorrow night, Monday November 7th (a valid piece of ID will be required to take your seat). 12 levels will be played out tomorrow, and we can expect the field to break through the money bubble and be reduced to just 3 or 4 final tables. The surviving players will bag their chips onto Day 3 (scheduled on Tuesday night), where they will conclude the event and play down to a winner.
