Two of the remaining players have cracked the 100K mark, and our current chip leader is Malik Lefty (featured on the right), who is now rocking a 141K stack.

That’s right, 245 players decided they would spend their Saturday night with us, trying to qualify for Day 2 of the $250 Frenzy. That is a great number, which brings The Frenzy to an even greater number. 763 entries were now accounted for after the first 4 flights! It certainly looks like the 1000 mark is now a formality.

Tonight is the 4th of 6 starting flights in the $250 Frenzy, and if the pattern so far holds, it should be a pretty busy evening here at Playground Poker Club. So far there have been 518 entries in the tournament, and tonight will take the overall number well past the 700 mark and could even flirt with the 750 entry mark.

Play will get underway in just minutes and late registration will be available until 8:15pm, so there’s plenty of time to make it to the club and join in the action.

The players in today’s Day 1c of The $250 Frenzy have returned from break and are now beginning play in level 12, which is the beginning of the final segment of play before those remaining bag their chips at the end of level 14.

Registration has now closed in today’s 3rd of 6 starting flights in The $250 Frenzy with 166 total entries today, adding up to a cumulative total of 518 entries so far in the event. Some of the last-minute registrants today include father-and-son Peter Johnson Sr. and Jr., past runner-up in the event Tomas Larivee Magni, Thomas Lefort, Pei Wu, Carrie Webster, and Shawn Martell.

Play has begun in level 5 with no dominant early chip leader having yet emerged – but with 14 levels to be played today, there’s plenty of time for players to accumulate big stacks!
