Action in today’s first of six starting flights in Event 3 – The $250 Frenzy – is moving relatively slowly as the players are carefully trying to build stacks to make an easy run to Day 2. There were reports of a few players going wild in the early stages of the day, but that has mostly calmed down according to a few players we consulted during the most recent break. The current chip leader is Marton Szlavy with 92K, but his closest rivals are still in the 70K-80K range.

Tournament staff have made their introductory announcements, the early-riser players have taken their seats, and with that, cards are in the air in The $250 Frenzy.

The first of 6 starting flights, today’s Day 1a in the event should be the least busy of them all, owing to the fact that it’s being played on a weekday and the fact that players will have many other opportunities to join the event. So far, 58 players have taken seats at the tables but with many more expected to register late.

Today is Day 1a of Event 3 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic presented by partypoker.net, and this is the first of six starting flights in this amazing event. This tournament has a $200,000 Guaranteed prize pool.

The second starting flight begins tonight at 6:00pm and then there are two more per day on Saturday and Sunday. Players are welcome to enter as few as one and as many as all six starting days to try to qualify for Day 2, which will begin on Monday November 7th at 7:00pm.

Late registration is available until the end of the break following level 4, meaning that players can enter any time until 12:15pm this afternoon. Blind levels are 30 minutes long until the end of level 26, when they will extend to 40 minutes long. Play today will continue through 14 levels of play, at which time those who still have chips will bag up their chips for Day 2.
