The last 4 tables had been playing hand-for-hand for about 10 minutes when Karam Saleh open raised to 36K from an early position. Soterios called the bet, and Graham Ross Thomson went all-in for 381K. Karam, who had him covered by just a bit, thought for a while, with his head in his hands. He finally made the call, and Soterios got out of the way.

Karam Saleh: Jack of Clubs Jack of Diamonds
Graham Ross Thomson: 8 of Clubs 8 of Spades

The board was quick to put Thomson out of his misery: 6 of Hearts Jack of Hearts 3 of Diamonds 10 of Spades King of Diamonds. When asked why he took so long to make the call, Saleh explained: ”Well, he was obviously trying to pick up the pot with a range that is crushed by Jacks, so I was simply thinking: I’m calling. This is it. I’m calling in a second.”

Karam Saleh is now sitting on top of this tournament, with just over a million chips, and a lot of short stacks are about to be thrown in.

The chip lead has just shifted from Samuel Chaput to Graham Ross Thomson, after a pre-flop raise war ended in a humongous pot.

Thomson called his right hand side neighbour’s very small all-in bet, and Chaput, from the small blind, asked him to make his chips visible. He went on to place a 3-bet, and when Thomson went all-in, he quickly called.

Samuel Chaput:                King of Diamonds King of Clubs
Graham Ross Thomson: Queen of Spades Queen of Hearts

Chaput started the hand as the chip leader, and Thompson had 182K. The winner of the hand was to become our new Bounty chip leader. The board came 5 of Clubs Ace of Spades 9 of Spades 4 of Spades Queen of Clubs. Ouch! Chaput was one river away from putting a lot of distance between himself and the rest of the field. Thomson, who has won some more while these lines were being written, is now leading the pack of Bounty Hunters with around 450K.

Stay tuned!

While Day 3 of the $250 Frenzy is playing down to a winner and Day 1 of the $1,000 + 100$ is finishing its 15 levels, we have a fresh and crispy tournament for you tonight. Event 6 is a 50/50 Bounty, which is a format most cherished by our players. $100 go directly to the prize pool, while $100 go to your own personal Bounty. Every time you knock somebody out in this tournament, you also collect his $100 Bounty. Can you start a collection?

You can join in until the end of the break following the first 4 levels, at around 9pm.

The tournament director has just announced the tournament details for this Event, and dealers are currently mixing the cards, preparing for the first hand. 196 players are in already! Care to join them?
