William Blais took the lead at the turn of level 8, and kept it all the way to the end. When his table was broken, a few levels before the last round, he was sent to table 54, where Issie Emin Yuzgulec had initiated a late rise. Blais took a seat on his left, and watched him shake the table down and build a stack that nearly caught up to his own. He did gain a few chips himself, but did not take any major risks.
Blais finished with 290K, while Yuzgulec bagged 280K. In third place, from another table, Jeff Porter bagged 255K, just under Denis Quirion’s 261,5K, Day 1A’s top stack. Join them on the qualifiers list by playing Day 1C (Monday 7pm) or Day 1D (Tuesday 7pm).
