The Seniors’ Event now counts 39 players, scattered on 4 tables. These players just took a short break, allowing the tournament staff to race off the T100 chips off the tables. We prepared a top 10 during that break, which coincidentally includes all players working with 6-figure stacks.

On table 40, 4 stacks were pushed to the middle before the flop.

David Kovacic: Ace of Clubs 5 of Clubs
Sylvain Boucher: 5 of Diamonds 5 of Hearts
Thomas Cemm: King of Hearts King of Clubs
Bradley J. Vance: Ace of Hearts Queen of Spades

Thomas was in the driver’s seat, but had many cards to dodge. The flop came out clean, but one of 2 remaining aces appeared on the turn, and he let out a grunt.

Board: 10 of Diamonds 2 of Hearts 7 of Hearts Ace of Diamonds 10 of Clubs

Bradley had the higher kicker to his own ace, and nearly quadrupled up, now counting almost 100K in his stack.  Sylvain Boucher was eliminated from the main pot, while David Kovacic salvaged a small portion of his own stack, which was then matched by Thomas Cemm, who missed out on an opportunity to join the leaders.

Scott Sisler approaches 100K

  • Level: 9
  • Small Blind: 600
  • Big Blind: 1.2K
  • Button Ante: 1.2K
  • Chip Average: 31.3K
  • Remaining: 85

After 8 levels of play, Scott Sisler managed to build a stack of 95,500 chips. He is leading the Seniors’ Event, going into the 3rd segment. We put together a top 5, made up of stacks larger than 70K.

Less than 100 players

2017/11/12 - 21:42 by Jôle Simard

The field has just dropped to 10 tables in the Seniors’ Event, and some stacks are starting to stand out. There will be a second break after this level, and we will then bring you a list of leaders.

It is in a field of 133 entries that Roman Domanski tripled his stack in just 4 levels. He played a lot of hands, and performed at least one knockout, the lovely Gail Seagris, who finished 3rd in the Seniors’ Event of the Playground Poker Fall Classic 2016.

Roman Domanski works with 57,000 chips, and is well ahead of everybody else.

It would be a mistake to think that the Seniors’ field is an easy one to navigate. A little “easier”, maybe, but some of these players sure know what they are doing. We spotted in the field, among others:

  • Stan Parkes, who traveled to Playground Poker Club for the Fall Classic, and already counts a few deep runs in high buy-in Events, including 3rd in Event #3 and 21st in Event #4.
  • Armand King, who finished 2nd in the Quantum Event, part of the World Cup of Cards 2016
  • André Boyer, 2005 3K buy-in WSOP bracelet owner
  • Stuart Taylor, runner-up in the $1,100 Bounty Event earlier this week, and regular achiever in Playground Events
  • Richard Figiel, winner of the Canadian Grand Prix at The World Cup of Cards 2016
  • Bill Kontaratos, who has the most cashes in Playground Events with 36, and has $466,773 in total live earnings

Players will take a short break in a few moments, after which registration will be closed.
