Nazareth Maghakian is still the chip leader. He went over 200K, but lost a few feathers since then. Jason Hing Pong Tsang and Georges Ciuciureanu have almost caught up to him, and within the next few levels, we can expect anything to happen. Here is an update on the largest stacks:

Giancula Cedolia, 2nd in chips at the break, is out. His chips are spread across table 54, which looks like a final table. Arlindo Bettencourt has a good portion of them, and so does Nazareth Maghakian.

134 players showed up for the $300 + $30, Event 15 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic 2017. The $20,000 guarantee was almost doubled – $39,994 – by this amazing turn out, and part of this success is due to the fact that our staff are now able to play. With most travelers gone home, management felt like it was time for some of our staff to let loose a little bit and have some much deserved fun time.
Here are the payouts for Event 15:

After 8 levels of play, 3 players have managed to breach the 100K mark which is unusual at this stage of the night. The player who sits on top of this break’s leaderboard is none other than our own Nazareth Maghakian, better know under the short “Naz”. His poker skills are pretty well known among the staff, and although dealers – Naz is now an assistant manager – have a pretty terrible reputation as poker players, Naz is quite an exception.
We were not surprised to assess his stack at 137,000 chips, which is almost 4 times the average. Gianluca Cedolia and Stan Parkes, whose name was everywhere in this edition of the Playground Poker Fall Classic, round up our 6-figure club. Naz was just moved to table 54, where our 3 biggest stacks are now sitting. Fireworks ahead!
Here is the actual leaderboard:
First Name | Prénom | Last Name | Nom | Stack | Tapis |
---|---|---|
Nazareth | Maghaklan | 137,000 |
Gianluca | Cedolia | 102,800 |
Stan | Parkes | 100,100 |
William Cornelius | Johnston | 93,000 |
Jose | Seba | 66,500 |
Andrew | Boujaoude | 60,400 |

Tonight is the second-last night of the Playground Poker Fall Classic and it’s the return of the single-day tournament in the festival. Tonight’s affair is Event #15, a $300 + $30 NL Hold’em Freeze that features a $20,000 prize pool guarantee and should see heavy attendance – even though the Tournament Hall has been cut in half by the WPT Television Set/Studio!
Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips and play through 20 minute levels all the way until a champion is crowned in the early hours of the morning. Late registration is available through the first 4 levels plus the time of the break that follows – in other words, players can join any time until 9:30pm tonight.
Good luck to all!
