After just 8 levels in today’s Bounty tournament there are already two players that have amassed over 100,000 in chips:

  1. Jean Pascal Gauthier
  2. Jason Conforti

Neither one is any stranger to playing with a big stack – we’ll see what kind of advantage that a lead proves to be in the hands of skilled players…

During the last break we captured this photograph at the request of Gaetan Perrault (black hat).

Event #16 is underway!

2017/11/16 - 12:01 by

Today is the final day of the Playground Poker Fall Classic for 2017 and, in addition to Day 5 of the WPT Montreal, it features two fantastic bounty tournaments. This afternoon’s event is a $100 + $10 + $25 NL Hold’em Bounty tournament with a tidy $5,000 guaranteed prize pool. Note that the guarantee in any bounty event includes both the “normal” prize pool and the money locked up in players’ Bounty chips, each of which is worth $25 for this event.

Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips and play through 20 minute levels until a champion is crowned. Players should make an effort to be on time – with half of the Tournament Hall taken up by the WPT Final Table set, space may be limited! That being said, late registration is available through the end of the break following level 4, and it’s most likely that everyone will be able to take a seat in the event as usual.

Good luck to everyone playing today!
