Only 16 players remain in the Survivor Event, of which 11 will lock in a full prize of $970, with 12th place set to take home $679. The tournament will come to a close once 5 more eliminations take place.

The final number of entries in Event #5 is 117 players, as we wrote earlier. This adds up to a prize pool of $11,349.00. The top 11 players will each receive $970.00 for their efforts today, and the player in 12th place will take him $679.00.

The Survivor tournament has reached the end of level 4 and with it, the first break of the day. There are currently 117 players entered, but with 3 minutes of late registration still available, it’s still possible for one or two more to join the fray.

Play in the Survivor tournament is already through level 1, and so far everyone is a survivor – there are 85 of 85 players still in the tournament. That is 100% certain to change before too long…

Today’s daytime tournament is a well-loved format here at Playground Poker Club – a Survivor event. This format is a little bit different than a normal tournament in that it doesn’t play down to the money and then award different amounts based on finishing position.

Instead, tournament players will have to “survive” until the top 10% of the field remains, at which point the prize pool will be evenly divided by the remaining players – regardless of their chip counts. This structure resembles that of a satellite tournament, with the primary difference being that a cash prize is awarded rather than a tournament seat.

The tournament gets underway at 12:00pm with registration open until 1:30pm. Good luck!
