191 players participated in tonight’s Big Bounty Event. The format had something special to it, in the fact that a bigger portion of the buy-in – $100 + $35 + $250 – went to the Bounty that players carried with them. Every time a player busted, he had to surrender his $250 Bounty to the opponent that caused his elimination.
It is a player’s favorite, and the turnout truly reflected that. The $30,000 guarantee was more than doubled by the 191 Bounty Hunters that showed up tonight.
When only Trevor Adams, Steven Worr and Brian Pinheiro Lopez were left, they decided to look at ICM numbers. After some deliberations, they opted to keep $500 on the line for the eventual winner, which was much more than the obligatory 2%. They wanted to keep something worthy of playing on the table, in the spirit of competition.
Trevor secured $3,197, Brian $3,445, and Steven already had $3,335 in the bank when he put his hand on the $500 first prize and the Champion’s Trophy. He took out Trevor Adams, and went to heads-up play with a 2 to 1 advantage. After a few hands, Steven open-shoved from the button, and found a call from Brian. His prevailed in the coin flip, and he was crowned!
Congratulations!
