Marcello placed a raise to 80,000 from utg+1, and was flat called by Azim on the button, and David in the small blind. First to act, David open-shoved for 644,000 on the flop, and found a call only from Marcello.

David was down to two outs if he wanted to survive, but the turn and river were the and , and his Main Event ended in a 13th place finish, good for $7,090. Marcello just barely surpassed the 2 million chip mark with that pot.
Dao eliminates Bogart and Massa
Cong Son Dao just added heaps of new chips to his stack, as he knocked out two opponents in one hand.
He opened from utg+1 to 78,000, and was 3bet to 190,000 by Kenny Bogart, who was next to act. Giovanni Massa moved all-in for a little less, as his total stack was of 170,000. Cong committed the extra 112,000 to go see a pot 3-way.
Cong tank-checked first to act on the flop of , but couldn’t call quickly enough when Kenny announced his all-in (for almost 700,000).

Cong was in great shape to win a huge pot, and with the running cards bringing the , he did just that, eliminating two players in the process. Kenny placed in 15th, collecting $7,090, while Giovanni picked up a cash of $6,080 for his 16th place finish. Cong increased his stack to just over 2.5 million with that pot, putting him amongst the chip leaders.
17th place: Jason Mandanici-Turcot
Jason Mandanici-Turcot was in the small blind when he 3bet shoved from 305,000, facing a late-position open to 75,000 form Kenny Bogart. Kenny made the call and the players tabled their hands.

Jason was one heart short of making the nut flush on the , and was eliminated in 17th from this Main Event in the Montréal Poker Expo. He was awarded with $6,080 for his deep run, while Kenny climbed to around 1,130,000 in chips.

Luong doubles through Mandanici-Turcot
Chan An Luong opened to 90,000 from under the gun, and when action folded around to Jason Mandanici-Turcot in the big blind, he announced all-in. Chan An, holding a stack of 460,000, made the call to go heads-up.
