Today is Day 1c of the Strike Out Cancer Charity event, Event #1 of the Montréal Poker Expo. There were a total of 578 entries in the first two starting flights of this event yesterday, and we expect that today will be even busier than yesterday, so it’s shaping up to be a massive prize pool!
This is a charity event, which means that the whole $25 tournament fee will be considered a charitable donation. After 2 starting flights, this already adds up to more than $14,000 – an amazing amount of money for a fantastic charity, the Jodi Taiger Lazarus Fund for Hereditary Breast Cancer Research.
Play will continue for 13 levels today and everyone that has chips at the end of the day will qualify for Day 2, to be held tomorrow (Sunday August 23rd) at 12pm.
