Eric had dropped from 2nd in chips to having a relatively short stack, and open-raised all-in from middle position for 1.375M in tournament chips. Action folded around to Kevin who thought for about 40 seconds before raising all in over for 2.615M.
We know the exact count because after Azim folded his sb, Jonathan asked for the count as he considered his own options in the hand. Upon hearing the amount – and learning he was covered by Kevin, he was in the tank as well – eventually folding.
Eric hadn’t been very happy to see Kevin shove over top, and when the cards were flipped we learned why.
