An impressive 226 players showed up tonight for Event 11 in the Montréal Poker Expo, all hunting for a Champion’s Trophy, and the cash prize that comes along with it!

Tonight’s event is the $100 + $10 8-Max tournament – otherwise known as Event 11 of the Montréal Poker Expo! As we suggested it would be, this event is hugely popular as it’s a very familiar format for regular Playground tournament players and very appealing to visitors – who doesn’t like a little extra space at the table?

There are already 97 players seated in the event with 4 20-minute levels of late registration available – so it may end up being one of the most popular one-night tourneys in the whole Expo!

Tonight’s tournament in the Montréal Poker Expo is Event 11, a $100 + $10 NL Hold’em 8-Max tourney that starts at 7:30pm.

The 8-Max format has been a mainstay of the weekly Playground Poker Club tourney calendar for just over a year now and it has become very popular, if only for the added comfort level at tables with only 8 players instead of the typical 9 or 10 in a full-ring tournament.
