The first break in this afternoon’s Deepstack Turbo event is coming and with it will come the end of late registration in the event. Players have been registering for the tournament on a regular basis through each of the first 5 levels of play and there are already 110 players who have taken seats in the event. The tournament had a capacity of 100 players but the extra few players have been seated alternates and luckily none have had to wait to take their seats.

Event 3 in the Montréal Poker Expo has just begun as players take their seats for this $60 + $10 NL Hold’em Deepstack Turbo tournament. Blinds are just 15 minutes in length but players start with 25K in tournament chips, so right from the start there’s an interesting dynamic at play.
There are 45 players seated at the moment, but late registration is open until the end of the break following level 5, which means players have until 1:25pm to join in the event. It’s normal for up to 50% of the field to late register in afternoon events, so the number is sure to climb quite a bit.
