Tonight is Event 9 in the Playground Poker Montreal Festival, which is a $100 + $10 No Limit Hold-em 8-Max Deepstack tournament.
This event is similar to the tournament that runs every Wednesday night at Playground Poker, and it has quickly become one of the favourite tournaments of the week for the many players that have played it regularly since it started in March.
In fact, around the poker world a consensus is beginning to grow that although it’s not always feasible to play 8-Max, it is in many ways the perfect tournament format.
All of this comes together tonight at 7:30 when we should welcome a large field for this beautiful tournament. It may prove to be the largest field of all the single-day tournaments in the Festival.
