Gagné eliminated in 7th place
In a very quick and straightforward hand considering how deep in the event play has reached, Yannick Lamarre-Delooz has eliminated Daniel Gagné in 7th place.
Yannick raised on the button to 300K – a standard min-raise – and Daniel went all-in. Daniel Gagnon, in the Big Blind, immediately folded and Yannick called in an instant.

Yannick:
The flop was about as good as Daniel could expect in this spot: but the turn and the on the river didn’t get him all the way to a flush, and Yannick won the hand.
7th place: Daniel Gagné, $28,350
Alex Lavigne out 8th
Alexandre Lavigne – a frequent occupant of final table seats in big events at Playground Poker – has been eliminated in 8th place.
A little context: the hand prior to this one, John Helou lost a huge pot to Noeung Troeung, shipping him over 2M chips after Noeung’s strong value bet of 1.4M on the river holding a straight, while John simply mucked and paid him the chips.
The very next hand, Alexandre open shoves on the button holding 2,025,000. Noeung quickly folded and as soon as he did, John called.
Alexandre:
John:
The flop was very positive for John: , but the turn brought Alexandre a lot of outs to a chop – but alas the river was not one of them.
8th place: Alexandre Lavigne, $20,620
