, and with a few hundred thousand already in the middle, we just witnessed Steve Daraiche come over the top of Garry Lucci’s 200K river bet. Steve wagered the rest of his stack, which had Garry covered, and after a few moments, Garry let go of his hand.
“Do you want to see?” asked Steve. Garry nodded, and Steve turned over 
for the nut straight.
With that pot, Steve moved into the chip lead, holding slightly more than 1 million in chips.

With the recent elimination of Jonathan G in 21st place, we are now just one elimination away from bursting the money bubble. The next player eliminated will be the last of this field to go home empty handed, and the remaining 19 players are guaranteed at least a $1,000 prize, with the opportunity to win the grand prize of $21,500! Jason Gracie and Michael MacDonald are the short stacks at the moment, both holding stacks of just under 10 big blinds. Hand-for-hand is in play…

The 48 players who remain alive in Event 12 of the Playground Poker Montreal Festival are now arriving at their tables where they’re unbagging their chips to prepare for 11 tough levels of poker tonight.
