Event 1 of the Playground Poker Montreal Festival is underway!
The Tournament Staff have made the opening remarks to welcome the players who have been seated and made the traditional command do the dealers to “Shuffle Up and Deal” and with that, Day 1a of Event 1 has begun. As the clock begins to count down level 1 in the tourney, there are already 148 players seated, and with late registration open for about 2 hours still this morning that number is expected to climb quite a bit.
Players in Day 1a will play 13 30-minute levels and everyone who has survived to the end of the day will be qualified to return on Day 2 on Sunday. Players who don’t qualify through Day 1a will have three more opportunities to do so – Day 1b starts tonight at 7:30pm and Days 1c and 1d will go at 11am and 7:30pm tomorrow (Saturday).
