Tonight’s event – the $100 + $10 No Limit Hold’em Shootout – has quickly become one of the most popular events among all of the side events we offer. Participation is limited to 100 entries with no alternates allowed because the format is slightly different than a normal freezeout. Each player will start on a table and must WIN that table to move on in the tournament. In a way, a shootout tournament is among the “purest” of tournament forms – you have to be successful in a full ring format and then, as players are eliminated, you have to be pretty good at shorthanded poker as well, until finally you are heads-up against your opponent – another distinct test of poker skills.
Every shootout we have ever run at Playground Poker has sold out before play begun, so if you’re interested in playing in the tourney you should aim to get to the Club as soon as possible.
