There is still a huge overlay (about $60K!) in tonight’s final starting flight in the July Power Weekend $550 Deepstack tournament, and just 35 minutes left to join the fun! 35 minutes is just about the amount of time it would take to get to Playground from even the farthest reaches of Montreal at this time of night – so don’t delay! Jump in the car and join the tournament while you still can!

The 107 players left in Day 1C are now taking their first break of the day. It’s a little early for anyone to have developed any kind of chip lead – we’ll put together the first leaderboard in the event during the 2nd break (in just over 2 hours).

As usual in events at Playground with a buy-in of $500 or more, registration in the tournament is open through the end of level 6 – unlike our regular nightly tournaments, in which registration closes after the first break.

This means that there’s still just over an hour to get to Playground Poker Club and participate in this tournament – with what seems to be a sure overlay!

Play is now most of the way through level 3 in Day 1C of the $550 Deepstack, meaning that there are just 3 more 30-minute levels during which you may enter the event. So far there are 104 players and the tournament is still on track for a significant overlay.

The results from Day 1B have been added to a Combined Results table for both starting days completed so far. Tina S, who finished Day 1A with 256K in chips, continues to be the chip leader of the 40 players that have qualified for Day 2.

The field is growing in Day 1C as players attracted by the huge guarantee sign up to play in this, the last starting flight available in the event. There are currently 70 players seated with more coming every few minutes.

This weekend’s $550 Deepstack now moves to the final starting flight of the tournament, Day 1C. This is the 3rd of 3 starting flights in the tourney, and with just 162 entries in the first two flights, the tournament is a long way from the approximately 400 required to meet the $200,000 guarantee – the tournament is in solid overlay territory!

Cards are now in the air and registration is open until the end of level 6, which is to say that you can jump into the event any time until 10:15pm tonight. And jump in you should – there’s no value in poker quite like a tournament overlay. The prizes will be identical to if a full contingent of players joined the event – but you will most likely have many fewer players to get through in order to win a prize! As they say in poker… easy game!

There are just 10 minutes left in Day 1B of the $550 Deepstack, and as the finish line approaches there are still 31 players at the tables. When the day is over, the remaining players will bag up their chips to return for Day 2 tomorrow at 1:00pm.

Meanwhile, we’ll publish a full list of Day 1B qualifiers along with their chip counts shortly after the day is done. The third and final starting flight in the tournament gets underway just as today’s flight wraps up – cards will be in the air at 7:00pm.
