In a 3-day tournament it’s hard to call any day “moving day” – it’s more accurate to say that the levels following the bubble are “moving levels”. That applies to chip stacks as well as the movement of players as they circulate the room as tables break and balancing occurs.
Random seating often leads to some interesting meetings at this stage in the tournament, and for the past few minutes, two of today’s top 3 by chip count have been seated just one player away from the other on the same table – Dominic Boucher was moved to table 69 on seat 2, where Benoit Larochelle Legrand has been seated all day (in seat 4). Both of them are currently playing over 800K stacks and are among the top 5.
Leading the way in the tournament, however, is none other than Dave Jeanneau-Cyr, who is already playing a stack of over 1.1M in chips. Players will be on break in several minutes and we’ll be able to produce a new leaderboard at that time.
