Although play at the final table started only a few minutes ago, two players have already been eliminated. Nader Ammar, formerly chip leader, was eliminated by Carl Doyon in ninth place when the two players got all their chips in on the turn. Doyon’s huge draw got the best of Ammar’s two-pair hand when the river completed one of Doyon’s straight draws, sending Ammar to collect his $470 payout.
Michael Chouinard followed immediately after, relinquishing his bounty chip to Jean-Philippe Piquette following a pre-flop all in. Chouinard had been on a short stack for the last few levels and did well to ladder up to eighth place, earning him $540.
