Co Tran has just been eliminated by Jean-Rene Guay.

Tran had a tough final table, unable to find any good spots or strong hands. He was down to less than two big blinds when he was forced to go all in from under the gun. He picked up a caller before Guay made a successful isolation raise to go heads up.

Tran: 5 of Spades 7 of Spades

Guay: Ace of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds

Board: Queen of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds King of Spades 2 of Spades King of Hearts

Unable to connect with the board, Tran was sent to the tournament desk to collect his payout ticket for $2,480.

Dominic Boucher played patiently at the final table, waiting for his spot. And it looked like that spot had arrived, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Carl Lafontaine had opened the action, and Maxime Marcouiller put out a three-bet to 500K from the cut-off. Boucher moved all in for less before his neighbour, Jean-Rene Guay, who was also short stacked also moved all in and Marcouiller made the call. It was a monster three-way all in with lots of chips up for grabs.

Boucher: Queen of Hearts Queen of Diamonds

Guay: Ace of Hearts Ace of Spades

Marcouiller: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Clubs

Board: 6 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds King of Diamonds 7 of Clubs 8 of Clubs

The aces stood, sending Boucher to the rail in tenth place. He will collect $2,050 for his final table appearance.

Big double ups for Rouselle and Drolet-Poitras

Kevin Rouselle was playing one of the shorter stacks at the final table, but thanks to some aggression and a fortunate river card, Rouselle has brought his stack back to average.

Rouselle managed to steal a few rounds of blinds by open shoving his short stack and the third time proved to be the charm. Rouselle opened raised all in, and Jean-Rene Guay made the flat for roughly two thirds of his stack. These actions chased everyone else out of the way, and hands were tabled. It was Queen of Hearts Jack of Hearts for Rouselle and Ace of Spades King of Spades for Guay. The low board was looking good for Guay, but the Queen of Diamonds on the river gave Rouselle a much-needed double up.

Sebastien Drolet-Poitras has played a number of pots at the final table and until the most recent they were not going his way. But an aggressive three-bet shove from the big blind just got him a huge double up through chip leader Steve Horic. Horic had raised his button to 165K, and Drolet-Poitras came over the top, moving all in for roughly 1.2 million. Drolet-Poitras’ Ace of Clubs 6 of Hearts had a narrow lead over Horic’s King of Clubs 10 of Clubs. The double-paired board missed Horic’s hand meaning that ace-high was good enough to take down the pot.

The action is now underway at the final table of the Playground 200. The finalists are each guaranteed at least $2,050 at this point but none will be satisfied with anything less than the $24,792 up top.

Steve Horic currently holds a significant chip lead, but with the blinds now at 40K/80K everything could change very quickly so all the players at the table still have a legitimate shot at taking this one down.

Jean-Francois Bruens has just been eliminated in eleventh place at the hands of Steve Horic.

Horic has been running hot so far this evening and woke up with yet another monster hand to send Jean-Francois Bruens to the rail. With the blinds at 30K/60K, Horic opened the action as the first to act, making a raise to 135K. It folded to Bruens, in the big blind, who was down to a very short stack. He raised all in, and Horic made the standard call. It was :!s King of Spades for Horic against Bruens’ Jack of Clubs 6 of Clubs. The flop, 4 of Clubs 8 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds, gave Bruens to extra outs, but the King of Diamonds on the turn gave Horic the lead. The 4 of Diamonds river was no help for Bruens, who left to collect his $2,050 ticket for the eleventh place finish.

The final table is set to get underway.

Only eleven players remain in the Playground 200. The early action tonight sent several players to the rail following what can only be described as cooler spots, whether it was running a big hand into aces pre-flop or getting aces cracked in dramatic fashion.

Steve Horic and Carl Lafontaine are at the top of the leader board, separated by only a few chips with Sebastien Drolet-Poitras not far behind in third.
